Homeopathy video consultation from Australia, Canada, USA and Dubai — how it actually works

About a quarter of my practice at Sanjivani is NRI. Mostly Gujaratis who left Ahmedabad in the 90s or early 2000s, settled in Melbourne, Toronto, New Jersey, Houston or Dubai, and now have a family member with a chronic condition that is not responding to conventional treatment back home.

Somewhere between the third cortisone cream that stopped working, and the ninth round of antibiotics for their child's throat, they start asking the obvious question. Back in Gujarat, there used to be a homeopath on every corner. Could that actually help us here, without flying home every three months.

The answer, for most chronic conditions, is yes. The video consultation model works well for classical homeopathy because our whole method depends on detailed conversation, not on physical examination. Here is exactly how it works at Sanjivani in 2026.

The conditions that actually work over video

Not everything can be done by video. I will not pretend it can. But the conditions that make up 80 percent of my NRI practice all respond beautifully to classical homeopathy delivered over a call, and they are exactly the ones that drove you to look for an alternative in the first place.

What the actual call looks like

I want to walk you through a real first consult, because it helps to know what you are booking.

1. You message +91 83202 20902 on WhatsApp with your name, city, and one line about the condition. We reply with 2 or 3 slot options converted to your local time — Melbourne AEDT, Toronto Eastern, Dubai Gulf, or whichever.
2. You pay online via Wise, PayPal, or direct bank transfer. ₹1,500 (roughly A$27 / C$24 / US$18 / AED 65) covers the first consult plus one month of remedies.
3. At the scheduled time I call you on WhatsApp Video or send you a Google Meet link, whichever you prefer. Camera on is strongly preferred — I read faces and expressions during case-taking, and it matters more than people realise.
4. The consultation takes 45 to 60 minutes. We go through the whole case, start to finish, in the language you choose. Gujarati, Hindi or English.
5. After the call I send you a written case summary on WhatsApp with the remedy prescribed, dosage, and the next follow-up date.
6. Remedies are dispatched the same day or the next morning via India Post International tracked (8 to 12 working days, cheaper) or DHL Express (4 to 7 working days, faster). We tell you the tracking number the moment the shipment leaves.

Cost compared to homeopathy in your home country

I will be direct. A reasonable homeopathy consultation in Melbourne or Sydney runs A$180 to A$280 for a first visit. In Toronto, C$150 to C$260. In Chicago or New Jersey, US$150 to US$300. In Dubai, AED 300 to AED 600. These are real 2026 prices at established private practices in each market.

A first consultation with me at Sanjivani, exactly the same 45-minute unhurried case-taking, with one month of remedies included, is ₹1,500. That is roughly A$27, C$24, US$18, or AED 65. The gap is not because Indian homeopathy is lower quality. It is because we do not pay Melbourne rents, we do not pay Toronto nursing salaries, and we do not carry North American professional insurance. The same BHMS degree, the same Boenninghausen repertory, the same Hahnemann principles — priced in rupees.

The remedy courier question

Everyone worries about this. They should not. India Post International tracked takes 8 to 15 working days depending on country. DHL Express is 4 to 8 working days. We package everything properly, include a customs declaration that matches the contents exactly, and share the tracking number with you the moment the shipment leaves Ahmedabad.

In 15 years, I have had a handful of shipments delayed in customs for a week. I have never had one rejected outright. If it does happen for any reason, we reship at no cost.

Things I will not lie to you about

• Video consultation cannot replace a physical examination. If I need to see a rash up close, look inside your throat, or feel a lymph node, I will tell you. In those cases we coordinate with your local GP for the physical exam and I continue the constitutional treatment based on their findings.
• Chronic cases take time, whether in-person or video. Do not come in expecting a 10-year eczema to resolve in a month. Give it 6 to 9 months of honest follow-up.
• If your case needs conventional medicine urgently, I will tell you to see your local GP first and come back to me afterwards. I do not compete with conventional medicine. I work alongside it.
• If something is not working after three follow-ups, we have an honest conversation about whether homeopathy is the right approach for your specific case. Sometimes the answer is yes but we need to change the remedy. Sometimes the answer is no and we stop.

The part nobody writes about

For a lot of my NRI patients, the homeopathy video consult is actually the easier half of the conversation. The harder half is convincing their parents back in Ahmedabad — or their aunty in Surat, or their grandmother in Anand — to trust the video call in the first place. That a doctor they have never met in person can actually help. That sitting in your drawing room in Melbourne and talking to me for 45 minutes is a real consultation, not a casual chat.

Half my NRI practice is the children booking on behalf of their Gujarati parents. The mother in Toronto paying for the father in Naroda. The daughter in Sydney paying for the grandmother in Anand.
